Coronavirus Representation
Coronaviruses causing COVID-19 are rapidly changing their genetic code, a process that can make viruses more resistant and adaptable to hosts. Humans are working to curb the coronavirus and manufacturing vaccines while coronaviruses on the other hand are busy doing their job perhaps they have got the news that humans are making vaccines against them, that's why coronaviruses are trying hard to become more infectious and deceive the vaccines. Sorry to point it out, but the way SARS-CoV-2 has been recently observed to mutate in a very adaptive manner, this pandemic could prove fatal to humans. How minute creature - coronaviruses, and human beings compete for life, will be a part of history and we wish this part of history could survive in homo sapiens, not in coronaviruses that they'd be telling their kids that there used to be the humans once upon a time. However for the survival of coronaviruses there should exist human hosts unless they make a big mutation and shift themselves to some other host, a mechanism in which coronaviruses have show expertise.

So far scientists have discovered more than 1000 different varieties of coronaviruses causing COVID-19 in people which are different than the samples obtained from first cases in 2019 and early 2020. All of these differences in samples obtained so far are very small and do not pose any threat to vaccine or the intensity of COVID-19.

However a new variant of coronavirus is found in UK that has propagated vastly, by the first week of December about 60% of all cases in UK were found to be because of this new straint alone. This is about 70 percent more infectious than earlier ones but this still remains to be analyzed if this new kind will have any effect on previously developed vaccines. Mutations in spike proteins have been observed in this strain of coronavirus. These are the minuscule projections on the outer coating of coronavirus which have a key role in the production of vaccine. Antibodies attach with the viral peplomers and our immune system identifies the invading viruses and initiates defense mechanism. This has been seen that our immune system can equally take action against viral nucleocapsid proteins or n-proteins and this can open the route of potential vaccines because analysis of SARS-CoV-2 genome has revealed no significant alterations in the nucleocapsid proteins of viruses causing COVID-19 in humans. So there is a possibility of grand vaccine that will be equally effective against all coronaviruses. But hush! keep it a secret lest the coronaviruses get this news and they start changing their nucleocapsid proteins as well, then we'll be in a complete mess.

Early reports from South Africa said that this variant was affecting healthy young people and causing more severe disease. Reports also stated that mortality rate in South Africa was increased up to 50 percent in cases affected with this new kind of coronavirus.

Political and geological implications:

Soon after the surge of B.1.1.7 in UK, this variant has also found in other countries. Australia, South Africa and New Zealand have reported similar cases. This fast proliferation of B.1.1.7 has caused many countries to shut their incoming airlines for a week to prevent the inflow of virus to their countries and take effective measures in the meanwhile.

United Kingdom has just identified B.1.1.7 earlier because of advanced genome sequencing system, similar unidentified strains may exist in other countries and may be widespread in fact. Expert believe that this new strain evolved during a long infection in a single patient where virus mutated multiple times.
